Web Marketing
In its basic form, web marketing is simple, cost-effective, and generally overlooked by most web-development firms. Why? Because they think it’s too difficult. To the contrary, high sales-conversion rates are easier than you think, when done effectively.
NewVista develops and maintains a number of successful websites which promote products and services. These websites focus on products / services of interest to the “main stream” i.e., non-techy people (the average consumer).
Bear in mind, if you own a website, (or, are a web-developer with a techie background,) you and I are the minority when it comes to the internet as a whole. Most people searching the web are average consumers, who don’t own websites. — I know that’s sometimes hard to wrap our brain around, but that is one fact we often forget.
The average consumer doesn’t care how sweet your graphics look or how clever your flash-intro might be. They aren’t impressed with your designer’s talents at all. They come to your site for their own reasons, and it is YOUR job to give them what they want - in as few steps as possible. The more “stuff” you have on your web pages, the more confusing your website will be to your visitors. If your site doesn’t have a purpose (with high-conversion test results,) then, what’s the point?
- You must have content.
- You must know your market
- You must ”SEO” (optimize) and test your website.
It is not unusual to see completely different results from fundamentally indentical websites, using parallel design, within the same niche-market. It is all about your TARGET market, — how well you know them… how well you know your site’s offerings… and, how well you MARKET to them.
One more thing, we think it’s important to point out that your website needs to more than “pretty”; it has to be “effective.” We advocate a “Fresh Eyes” approach to web marketing.
