Streaming Video…

The main advantage of videos is their ability to instill curiosity. Have you ever noticed that when there is a screen to be seen, be it in a shopping mall, or in the check-out line at your favorite  grocerty store, - people watch! It’s as if we human beings are hard-wired to do so. Well, in a way, we are. When our brains/eyes see MOTION, we are immediately, interested. Then… we want to know what the ”motion/movement” is all about, and what will happen next. Even if you don’t linger, you will ALWAYS spare a glance or two.

This is the strength of internet marketing through streaming videos. — It immediately grabs attention. The only thing that a web-developer has to do is to make the video interesting enough so that it maintains or improves on that initial level of interest.

When the video is old enough to become common place, it is replaced with a new one. Unlike pop-ups or spam messages or newsletters, videos generally don’t become an annoyance because the innate the first thing it does is to grab the consumer’s attention and curiosity.

With the use of videos, the web-visitor gets a very clear picture of what the product or idea is all about. There is an added bonus to the attention-grabbing feature of using videos for marketing or advertising campaigns. — When a consumer “gets” what a product is all about, they really do “get it” and begin to trust the offering company.

Having the trust of your customer is ideal. A trusting customer is one who will patronize all your product lines. Naturally, as good as your advertising video is, — it is STILL the VALUE of the firm’s product that matters in the end. If a web-developer takes the approach to delivering web content, where all the content is about the client and the client’s credentials, then don’t be surprised if the only web-visitor-response the client receives – leans toward the negative.
